Mrs. Kari is the lead middle school science teacher at TVM, bringing a unique blend of scientific expertise, educational dedication, and community spirit. She holds five Florida teaching certifications and is currently pursuing her ESOL endorsement. A cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina, Mrs. Kari spent 16 years in the medical and biotech industries before transitioning to education, inspired by her work with pediatric diabetes patients. Since moving to the Florida Keys, she has become deeply involved in the local community and education, previously managing a veterinary practice and serving as a substitute teacher. At TVM, she’s excited to foster curiosity and academic growth through hands-on science experiences, including the STEM Fair and SeaPerch robotics programs. Outside the classroom, she enjoys paddleboarding, snorkeling, and exploring the natural beauty of the Keys with her husband and their two dogs.
